Want to raise money for a great cause but not quite sure how to go about it? Potentially a charity challenge trek is for you! Get a group together to embark on an adventure of a lifetime, all for a great cause.
We can work with you to coordinate a challenging hike for your group to fundraise money for your chosen charity. We’ll kickstart your fundraising by donating 10% of your trip cost to your charity efforts.
Whether you're a seasoned trekker or new to this type of adventure, we'll have the perfect hike for you and your group. You’ll be in safe hands with our guides who will support you every step of the way. BUT – this is a challenge, so you’ll need to train and prepare to complete one of theses treks!
Push yourself to the next level on this challenging 5-day back-country adventure. After taking time to enjoy Kaikoura and getting your legs warmed up with some gentler hikes, you'll head into Nelson Lakes National Park to complete the Angelus Circuit via Hukere Cascade. The scenery on this hike is absolutely incredible and you'll finish feeling accomplished and ready to tackle any adventure!
Ride the full length of the Alps to Ocean trail, from Mount Cook village to Oamaru, on this demanding 320 km trip. There's no shortage of breath-taking views on our 6-day ride as you cycle alongside Lake Pukaki and Lake Ohau, enjoy views along the sweeping Waitiaki valley and ending at the Pacific Ocean. With 2 guides and plenty of picnic breaks along the way, you'll finish every day happy and exhausted!
On this 4-day adventure in New Zealand's beautiful back-country, you'll explore Franz Josef, the heart of glacier country and Siberia Valley - the hidden gem of Mt. Aspiring National Park in style. During this challenging expedition, you'll fly, hike, and jetboat to some of the most incredible and lesser known spots on the South Island - it's a true kiwi experience!
Ride 152km over 4-days on our 'Kaewa' Otago Rail Trail biking adventure. Starting in Queenstown, you'll ease your way into the ride as you cycle along the Kawarua River to Alexandra. From there, things get more challenging as you climb through the Ida Valley and under the 'big sky' country to Ranfurly, before passing over the Upper Taieri Gorge to Middlemarch.
All you'll need to do is organise a group of 10 or more people, and we'll take care of all the logistics and planning your fundraising trek. When you get in touch, simply let us know as much information as possible and we'll start creating a charity trek that is bespoke to your needs!
Once we have the information needed, you'll work with a travel expert to create a trip that suits your group's goals. While on your trip, we'll make sure everything is taken care of (if you'd like it to be!), from all accommodations and meals, to experienced adventure guides to making sure your team is taken care of while in the wilderness.
We realise plans can change at any time and even the best insurance policies don’t cover every single possibility. Plus, with travel restrictions still floating around, it can be nerve-wracking for you to lock in future travel dates.
We want you to feel confident that your money is in good hands so we've introduced Active Adventures Assurance, which includes:
It's all about getting there under your own steam – on foot, in a sea kayak, or by bike. What better way is there to experience mind blowing scenery? If it's your first time, no worries – our expert guides have got you covered
Above all, we aim to be amazing hosts. We're proud of our kiwi roots, and our professional, warm and relaxed style of running trips around the world is unforgettable.
As soon as you join us, we've got all the details of your retreat covered – top notch meals, comfortable transport & accommodation, amazing guides and INCREDIBLE service.
Even if you already know your travel companions, you'll get to know each other even better and gain a better appreciation for what makes your team tick. Plus, you'll have the flexibility and freedom to challenge yourself as much (or as little!) as you like.
We're VERY picky about who we select to work in our team, and we have people from all over the world lining up to guide our trips. So we get to hire the absolute BEST in the business.
While we could hang around all day telling you how wonderful our trips are, the best people to listen to are our travellers themselves.
